about

Mick. E Rawrk is a side project by Leigh C (Exxon Valdez, The Gruesome Twosome, Yo Han Garfunkel & The Caribou Kid) and C.F.Meister (Exxon Valdez, Yo Han Garfunkel & The Caribou Kid, Speech Impediment). The project came together when Leigh and Meister heard the Death Grips "Exmilitary" release and were inspired to make a mixtape in the same vein.

"Mickstape" was produced, written and record within the space of 2 weeks. The 29 tracks capture Leighs raw crass lyrics (the majority recorded in Meisters garden shed) over Meisters uncouth throwaway beats (recorded straight from his MPC) resulting in an amalgamation of unpolished energy, creativeness and ignorance.

The cover (designed by Hello Newman) is a homage to Tom Waits - Rain Dogs, The Clash - London Burning (via Elvis Presleys self titled album) and of course a tribute to Mickey Rourke.

Mixed by Blake
Mastered by Archetype.
